Reading Circle 2/6/09 (Canceled)

As far as I know, no one has any reading ready for this Friday.

That being the case this might be a good day to look at what we have read so far and decide which types of readings or sets of readings seem to work the best so that are future readings may be even better.

This could also be a good time to discuss topics for readings we are interested in, as it is ussually easier to find good articles when you have a subject in mind.  Some potential ideas are listed below.

  • Ecopyschology
  • Conservative Green Movements
  • Religious Green Movements
  • Cool (Pet) Technology (everyone posts a roughly two page piece on their favorite (pet) technology for the future)
  • Comparison of candidates, it has been said that the environmental platforms of McCain and Obama were the same in relations to ideas but different in relation to how much (ex. increase fuel efficiency, but by how much).  What does this mean for the sustainability/environmental movement and what does it mean for the country.
  • Please add other Ideas here or bring them up in the meeting.
